Basically the book is about boy who loves football. Billy who’s dad just came home from war had a bad cough. After Billy’s dad died he had to make his own money to save his family. He did this by scoring goals and betting. He payed all this money to be in a team, as he scored goals he earnet more money. But all his football life was spoilt after a letter he recieved from the army. He goes to war where he is captured by the enemy and he is made a prisoner of war for 6 years. He recieves a letter from his mum saying he has been selected for Chelsea. Still in the prison camp he is selected in a team of English prisoners to play against Italian prison guards, everyone heard England beat the Germans in the war, so they escaped from the italians and he returns home to his family again.
I rate this book 10/10 because suddenly the football star was in a war. Its also sad because Billy’s dad died and he now had to fight, the author makes feel all the pressure on Billy.

This book was written by a computer expert in 1992. The main character is Victoria, who is very good at computers, I can tell you. She uses her programmable calculator at the beginning to get the answers to a maths exam which the class has to do. Her teacher (Mrs Bracken) accused her of cheating and she sent her to the headmistress (Miss Hiff) Then Victoria’s mum told her that her dad was arrested, for stealing over a million pounds. Helped by her brother Gib, she breaks into Universal’s computer (the bank which her dad works in) and tries to find some evidence.
The book is only 200 pages long. I recommend this book to anyone who likes computers. Malorie Blackman (the author) used to be a system programmer. Some people have read a lot of her books.

This tale goes through the themes of friendship, love and death. It brings up issues like home schooling and normal school. It is a tale of a boy called Michael he has just moved in with his sick sister, mum and dad he is told not to go inside the garage, because it was unstable, but he thinks there is something else. What could this be, another reason?. He meets a girl which is home schooled and has a very bad point of view on normal school, she mentions and poem which describes the way school imprisons the average school child as a bird stuck in a bird cage. He mentions the mystery between him and the garage to her and they both explore the mysterious mystery in the garage. After all of this he finds out that his sister getting ill er and could die. What will happen?!?. I recommend this book because it is very interesting and specifically because it is about evolution. I like this part where the mysterious numbers come up and when Micheal sneaks out to mysterious things…? . i would give this book an 8 out of 10. But what i disc like about the story is how it keeps going on about a poem written by some man. I found the details in the poem and the writer of the poem un-nessercery and boring!.

47 is written by one of the best known writers in America Walter Mosley. This story is history mixed with fiction and is all about freedom of slaves. The book gets its title 47 by the character that is a young boy living his life as a slave in the nineteenth-century Georgia plantation and is always being watched by his brutal slave master.
His life seems doomed until a he meets a strange being who is a run away slave called Tall John. This is when the fiction kicks into the story and the boy numbered and called 47 life’s changes forever as he finds out he is more than a worthless slave. Also he finds out his new friend Tall John is more than a boy but an extraterrestrial visitor.
This was my favourite book and I would recommend it to teenagers as it would help them realize how life was back during slavery. Walter Mosley brings the harsh facts and anguish very close, and the first-person narrative shows and tells how slavery is the most unbelievable part of this whole story and it’s full with dramatic tension

I like Charlie Bone because it’s really interesting and very enjoyable. Charlie Bone’s great, great granfather had special powers and he had nine kids who had different powers as well. Five of them were evil the others were sensative. Charlie’s power is extraordinary he can hear what people are saying or thinking in a picture. Charlie is only 10 years old he never really knew what was going on in his life, every time he looks at a picture he thought he was hearing voices but actually it was from the picture he was looking at.
The thing I like about the book is that every word you read makes the book even more interesting. It also has another part which I am willing to read. Once you start reading the book you can never stop reading it all my sisters and brothers have been reading the book once i told them about. The book is the most magical , mysterious and the most intresting book i have ever read and I am sure you will think that too.
